A Whisk In Time is my personal chef business. I am certified by the NYC Department of Health & Mental Hygiene in food sanitation and I started my business with the help of the American Personal & Private Chef Association.  If you’re interested in learning more about it, read on!

7 Reasons Why a Personal Chef Service is Right for You:

Time
Spend more time with your family, on your work-outs, and enjoying your hobbies.

Convenience
No shopping, prepping, or cooking. Just heat and serve.

Healthful
No additives or preservatives, so you and your family will not glow in the dark.

Fresh
Fresh, quality ingredients, prepared as desired, and stored for optimum flavor and texture.

Delicious
Custom menus and a large variety of healthy entrees and side dishes.

Relaxed
Dine in comfort in your own home. No getting “dressed up” to go out when you are tired, no searching for a parking spot, no waiting to be seated and served.

Cost-Effective
Add up all the money you spend on restaurant and take-out food, including taxes, tips, parking fees, etc.  A personal chef will save you money in the long run…and it will be well-spent.

A personal chef is the perfect gift for:

  • New moms and dads
  • Newlyweds
  • A sick friend or relative
  • Someone returning home from the hospital
  • Elderly relatives
  • Housewarming gifts
  • Anniversary gifts
  • Birthdays
  • Christmas and other gift-giving holidays
  • Just saying, “I love you”

Special Occasions
I also offer special occasion service for small- to medium-sized parties, including brunches, theme parties, cocktail parties, and buffets. I do all the work and, if you like, we can serve, too…unless you want to take all the credit yourself. That’s okay, too!

Personalized Cooking Instructions

Have you been wanting to learn how to cook but don’t want to take a class? With my personalized lessons, you will get one-on-one attention and learn at your own pace. I will come to your home and take you step by step through a lesson of your choice. Please email me for pricing.

Cooking Classes & Party Ideas

Whether you truly want to learn to cook or just want an excuse to gather your friends to eat and drink, cooking classes can be a fun alternative to a sit-down dinner party.

Cooking classes can be demonstration only (I do all the prep and cooking and explain the process while guests look on) or it can be interactive (everyone gets involved). For interactive classes, guests can get as involved as they want–or not at all. Some guests prefer to work on their margaritas as they watch, and that is perfectly fine. This can be a learning experience or a purely fun one. It’s up to you and your guests.

As with my other services, I do all the shopping, come to your home, set up, do prep work, and clean up afterwards. The menu can be one that I put together for you or you can make your own. It can be up to 6 items (for example, an appetizer, a first plate, a main course with 2 sides, and dessert).

Party Ideas

Bored with the same old dinner parties? How about a cooking class based on one of these ideas?

  • Cocktail parties (Ex: 3 appetizers and 3 exotic drink recipes)
  • Theme parties (Hawaiian luau, Halloween, Pasta-making, Mardi Gras)
  • Ethnic cuisines (Italian, Pan-Asian, South American, Indian)
